i'd like to order my rims asap, and knowing things before a purchase is usually best.... what size of tire would cause fitment issues with a 16x9" with a +15 offset? crimson mx5 had 205/40/16 on a 9" wide rim, personally i'd like to go 225 but would that require me to roll the fender if the car is lowered? or will i have to find out how low i can go before it starts gettin the friction on?

now you might get a good response or two. You should try to post at clubroadster.net since many more of them deal with crazy wheel/tire size combos.
thanks... i'm never one to start new threads cuz there's always someone who goes "check the search" and then no one ever replies anything more.
I'm probably the only one who's ever said that here :gay:
lol well if your the only one :nono: .... i honestly feel as if its my first week of a new job. with my 323 i was always the one helping others with theirs since i knew everything about it. now i'm in a totally different ball game. any and all help is much appreciated

i was in the local parts shop today and i was told i should just go for a set of sportmax 0 offset. for what im looking for right now as i am just getting back to work. im sure i have to roll the fenders for those aswell but the price is right for them.
might want to look at sportmax +15, they have nice lip, are flush with the edge of the fenderwell with 205/50's. Probably would be much more doable than 0 offsets sports.
My car has all sorts of fitment problems with 16" wheels. 195/50/16 doesn't even fit. I'm going to sell them for 15".
not sure of my offset but I have 225/45/16s 225/40/16 would be better. I rolled the fenders but thats easy.
With 16x9 +15offset you should be fine with 225/40/16 in the back, in the front I'd go with 8jj 0offset and 205/40 tires. You'll have clearance issues with 9jj wheels. Rolling and pulling the fenders is required of course but it's not that big of a deal and pretty easy to do. But it will look very nice with those sizes.
What wheels do you want to buy? I'm looking for some in those sizes. edit: I'm talking about NB here which has a bit more flared fenders, on NA miata 215/40/16 might be max, but with a lot of pulling you should be able to pull 225 off. |

i have an 03 and i'm rolling with 205/40/16 front and 225/45/16 and the back and they tuck in, not even close to the edge.. so you'll be good with those or if you want to go a little more looks and aggressive ness and you have the money check these out

if you're going to run 205 then might as well do 16x8 =/
If you're going to run 225s then 8" wheels are good enough.
