Need To Patch a Hole In 1.8 Intake
So I am in the process of doing my 1.8 swap and bought a cheapo cold air intake to get me by before going turbo. Only my problem is that the intake is for a NB. Meaning in has a small rubber grommet inside of a hole for the factory IAT sensor. I tried to cover this up using silicone, didn't work very well. Epoxy maybe??? It is made of aluminum. I have a IAT I'm swapping in but its too small inside the hole. I plan on just drilling a hole and threading it to screw the IAT in. Any suggestions?? https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...4da8f7c91a.jpg

If you're being serious I'm not trying to doubt but would that work?

If you are going to throw it away... how about a pop can, silicone and some hose clamps :riaa:

Weld a proper bung?

Aluminum tape. Better for high temps, strong enough, matches the rest of the pipe.

Buy a pipe. This isn't Honduras.

Yeah I came up with that conclusion yesterday, I tested spark and they fired normal. Lol, that throws me for a loop.
