New door or fix this?
 

So I have had this poor car for like 2 weeks and unfortunately my wife put it into our gate today. Should I attempt to fix the door and repaint or just track down another door and repaint?

Ouch. I don't see any creases...I'd seek a paintless dent removal guy just to bend it back to where it needs to be...but I'd obviously reprint it due to scratched gatedness.

Yeah, I suspect that will mostly push out. Pull your interior door panel and push it out a bit with your hand. Good access behind that panel.

Well I pulled the panel and tried to pop it out a little. It is very thin metal and hard to work with. I was able to pop some of the bottom dent out but the top is not having it and is hard to get to it behind the door crash bar. Looks a little better though. I am putting a lot of money into a turbo build and really did not want to spend anything on the cosmetic side. I may try and just get over this and live with it but it hurts my face to look at it. I am definitely going to source a new door since they are so cheap.

around here you could find same color door around 50-80
take your time and just do that

or just leave it... no offense, but your wife will probably ding it up more in the future. #miatabeater

When I had a window regulator go out and also needed a mirror, I found a whole door in the right color for $100. PDR guy will charge you a lot more than that, plus respray...no reason to fix IMO

Yeah I am thinking you are right. I have already found several red in decent shape for less than $100. I am going to watch CL for a white one. anyone have links to where I can find a full door local style like parts finder?

Good as new. It is a different white but I don't think most people would notice unless they were looking for it. Swapping doors was way more of a pain in the ass than I anticipated. The speaker in the new door was nicer than I already had so win. I believe James has a good door that's the correct color if you'd be interested. assuming he'd sell, which I think he would.

I am pretty sure the guy I got them from was a friend of James up near Seattle. I also picked up some 15x7 RPF1 wheels. Even if the perfect exact color match door NOS wrapped in plastic magically appear in my driveway I wouldn't do that again. Stupid little plastic clips, tar, small sad spaces. I can live with the very slight shade difference.
