Just put on a set of Rota C-10's. 15 x 6.5's w/ fairly worn Yoko 100 195/50's on them. These replaced my stock semi-hollow spokes and crappy tires on my 94. This car feels like a pig now. What's up. They are only 13 lbs. Not supposed to be that bad weight wise. On the road any wear grooves in the road and the wheel wants to yank over.

Is it the slightly wider tires? Mostly worn out tires? Added weight? Alignment or all the above that's doing this? I didn't figure there would be such a drastic difference in feel from the little stockers and it's mostly not good. They corner a whole bunch better but it's tough driving straight with any kind of worn pavement.

They look sweet but the light, crisp feel has been replaced by heavy pulling of the wheel.

How bald are the tires? I found that when I used my completely worn RA-1 (pretty much a slick) the car wanted to change lanes if I wasn't paying attention when I was in any grooves. Had the same experience to a lesser degree with half worn Azenis.

So ya, probably normal.

I read somewhere that wider tires cause that too. Although 195 isn't that wide.

Wider tires change the way your alignment sits? Maybe you had a bad alignment to begin with but maybe the wider tires aren't as forgiving and along with them being bald it pulls.

I had that happen to me when I put 225/45/16s on mine. It turned out that they just showed how bad my alignment was. It's great now but I had to get them ballanced three times.

It is possible you have a bad tire. Sometimes when we put new tires on the car will pull HARD to one side or the other, don't know why they just do. Try crossing the front tires. On a side note are your tires directional? Sounds to me like you need to replace them.

I would also check your alignment.

I bought the set for the wheels. The tires just happened to be there. They have decent tread left but have a fair amount of camber wear. That angled inside edge from the excess camber must be what's doing it. Car was recently realigned after I whacked a curb this winter. I've got a set of 50% toyo 4's I'll have thrown on these rims and see if that helps.

I'm putting my hollow spokes back on this weekend. I have 15" stockers too and they feel heavy in comparison.

I've got a set of Motegi Traklites with track tires for HPDE days. If changing tires/ alignment doesn't help I might try the lighter traklites for every day use and use the heavier C-10's for the track.

Did you use center rings? Most after-market wheels come with center rings.
