Default '99 Engine into a '90 = smiles

I finally completed the installation of a used '99 engine into my '90. To keep this short, all I have to say is that it is completely worth it. The acceleration is amazing and the increased torque is far improved above that of the old 1.6L. I look forward to beating up (even more) on the CSP guys this season.

The engine went into the car with little problems and I'm using a basically stock 1.6L clutch and flywheel (with a 2000 Protege pressure plate).

I have a build thread detailing some of the nuances into getting this engine to work in the '90 chassis here:http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...hp?t=123662559 for those that are interested.

I love my '99's motor, its awesome compared to my roommates '92 1.6.
I am of course refering to it's power out of boost. Under boost is a whole nother story.

For sure. My turbo 1.6 doesn't hold a candle to the N/A 1.8, heh.
