i am going to swap out my pretty much worthless 95 oil pressure gauge and sender with 90-93 ones. Am i going to need to drain the oil out to do this or would i be able to do it with minimal oil loss and just top up my oil whem im done?

You can remove the sensor without draining the oil. The level of the oil at rest is far below the level of the sensor. You will get a few drips out of it, but nothing significant.

.....speaking of which. I installed a cheapo $13 mechanical gauge in my engine bay to make sure I had oil pressure when starting my new motor. Now I want to mount a real, accurate gauge on my a-pillar, but the thought of running a "live" oil line into the cabin makes me a bit nervous. Can you guys suggest a good and accurate electronic gauge?

You mean apart from a '90-'94 Mazda OPG? The Autometer Sport-Comp series strikes a good balance between price and performance.

A note of caution- the hole for the oil pressure sender in the block is tapped 1/8" BSP, NOT 1/8" NPT. Adapters are available from FM, Pegasus, etc.

but if i use a stock one out of a 90-93 it will be the same thread, right?

Yup. Actually, the range is '90 to '94- those are all true analog senders which will screw right into your block.

I was aiming that towards Socal Pat, who was enquiring specifically about aftermarket parts.
