Odd idle after turbo install
Over this winter I over hauled my car, and redid my timing belt plus installed a turbo kit.
I have the car running and idling now running on a Mega Squirt PnP with the base 9093 no AFM map (I am using the GM IAT). Well this si what my idle sounds like, I went around back because it is more pronounced out the exhaust, but I have the same time of stutter up front. is this a misfire? does it sound like my timing is off? or my timing belt off by a tooth? I followed the MS instructions to lock the timing to 10 degrees and then adjust the cam angle sensor to 10 BTDC, then move it back to -10 degrees. Sorry about the lifter noise, car sat all winter and it tends to do this to me... thanks! |
You have to tune, you know. Why don't you head over to the MS forums and do some searching.
Have you installed a WBO2? You should. |
yes I have a wide band, I just wasn't sure if this was a tuning issue or a timing belt issue.

Never hurts to take one more look at the timing marks to make sure.
What does the WBO2 read? You should be shooting for 13's to get a smooth idle. I'm almost positive it's a tuning issue. The MSPNP basemap is designed to get you started. It is hardly a finished tune. |
