Oil on the piston
Hey guys,
Well, I had finally stepped down to a cooler plug with my GReddy, but as I was installing #4, I found a fairly substantial oil pool in the plug well. I hadn't noticed the valvecover gasket leaking anywhere else before, so this was news to me. Anyway, there was apparently enough oil down in the well to cover about a inch of my socket, but I didn't have any way to suck it out, so I just took the plug out. Great...:td: Now when I shine a flashlight down onto the piston I can see a small layer of oil hangin' out and I don't dare just put the new plug back in since I doubt the liquid will be too happy about compressing and I don't really know how much is in there. I just need a suggestion on what to do. I thought about just leaving the plug out and cranking it a few times before I reinstall, but I've never run across this before, so any second opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
