Oil pressure problem?

Can't embed from my phone so deal with it. OP guage flutters when I come to a stop. Sometimes it drops all the way, stays there for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. Advise.

That's the same shit that I was talking to you about yesterday. I notice though that if my electrical reads anything below 20psi, the stock gauge drops and anything 20psi+ is "good". I do have a leak at the cam seals and Im using rather thin oil also.

I'm guessing this is on an NB. Do you have a 'real' oil pressure gauge, or is this a dummy?

My thoughts:

1. faulty connector and/or sensor causing the signal to be sloppy. I had a bad connection on mine when I bought the car that would make the needle dance a bit.

2. Oil pump could be taking a shit (not sure how, as I was under the impression they tend to either work or not)

3. Damaged pickup or low oil causing gaps in oiling.

I'm willing to bet that its #1 though. Try installing another gauge and see if it matches.

Yes this is on the 99 that I just picked up from Full tilt boogie. Stock gauge and sender. He does have a T between the sender and block that was used for feeding the turbo. I'm going to remove that and make sure the connection is good. Oil level appeared to be full when i checked it the other day. I'll recheck it.

low oil.

my last motor, with bad sensor would drop to 0 pressure when teh low was oil coming to a stop.
