Oil strainer/pickup tube bolts size?

Hey guys anyone have the info on the bolts for the oil pickup tube to oil pump? I have misplaced mine and none of my books have the lenth and pitch, they just say 10mm (obviously). Any help would be appreciated thanks.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...7c2e422cb0.jpg

M6. x 1.0 if I remember right. Not sure on length, probalby whatever the flange thickness is + 15mm or so.

OE part number is 9979-40-640

Given normal Mazda part numbering (last 4 digits) for vanilla coarse JIS flange bolts, this would indicate an M6 x 40mm bolt, with the default 1.0 pitch.

Qty 2: M6X1.0 - 35mm

wow had no clue that's how Mazda did it. I had that part number but had no clue you could use it in that way! Thanks for your input!

Yup, it's pretty handy. Since I have two new Mazda oil pickup bolts in the bag, I also measured them. I can confirm that they are M6 x 40mm.

A new oil pickup tube is surprisingly cheap from Mazda, too. Made me feel warm and fuzzy to use a brand new one.
