lack of coolant re-route for a high HP engine? Cruise control is a little gay too.

I dunno, no trick questions!

Is that a catch can in the bottom left?

Also, Where is the cruise control?

Seems the IAC valve is re-placed (the one in the left bottom corner of the pic)

BEGi intake manifold on an FM engine?
Filter breather on the PCV?
Existing handle on the oil dipstick?
I thought you might be getting at the oil line to the turbo, but it looks like they ran it around behind the brake master.

I think they may have done that so that the letters faced the same way as on the valve cover.

What is that to the left of the coil pack?

Left of the coilpack seems to be the engine harness coming through the firewall.

Zaphod got it though. relocated IAC. Meaning there is some kind of large TB on there.

1) I wonder what TB that is
2) the relocated IAC would probably be benificial to those with NA coolant reroutes and have clearance issues with the coolant hose sitting against the charge pipe because of the IAV on NAs.
3) I wonder why there is a small filter on the IAC. IIRC it needs air from the intake..unless it's OK to allow it to bring air in from atmosphere because the car is on MAP.

1. Looks like a Mustang, as that's why the BEGi IM was drilled for.
2. Seen it done, in fact I was tuning one like this, this week.
3. So they didn't drill into the IC pipes, that's the air inlet source. MAP cars don't meter dawg.

Did you notice the new front page image? SEe the green plug near the radiator? thats the remote IAC.

This has a parallel MS install that I built for him.

Is this guy on the forum? That homepage image is nice but I'm curious about the build.

Couldn't running an open to the elements IAC cause a boost leak? I've never taken one apart, but I still re-routed mine into the IC piping to avoid leakage.

Nice.

Sorry if my knowledge about remote IACs and large TBs seems common sense to some of you, but I have not really delved into such areas...yet. Brain- as I was typing "3)" I was thinking about it as I typed which is why I said what I did about MAP cars not needing the IAC to pull from a closed source

Saint_foo. He doesn't post here much but I recommended start talking with get with Tim when he started inquiring with me about how he wanted a turbo kit. I had the fun task of tuning it this week for him. Gotta be closer to 300 than 250rwp. It's pretty intense.

It shouldn't. But doesn't hurt to just route it like stock.

That's right, I forgot Josh had that on his s/c setup. IIRC I've see a couple other s/c setups with remote IAC to compensate for the relocated TB and idle dip issues.

nah Scot he is right the AIC will allow boost to leak if left open. Back when i just ran mine blocked, with a peice of broom handle and hose clamp i had that ****** shoot out on me and it sucked. The aic either needs to be routed into the IM or blocked to not effect your performance.

So you had the "outlet" side blocked no wonder.Having the intake side open shouldn't leak as there is a solenoid closing it off.

No i had the inlet blocked becouse i had no provision to source air to the AIC at the time, the solenoid doesn't hold back **** man esp boost trust me i ran like that for more than a year.
