levnubhin 11-21-2007 06:39 PM

interesting. needs more projector headlight.

Ben 11-21-2007 06:59 PM

I wish. Maybe one day someone will come out with a replacement turnsignal assembly that has a projector in it, kind of like for the fd rx7
http://www.arios.info/products/rx7fd/img/img.jpg
Not as much room in the miata though.

Rafa 11-21-2007 07:07 PM

My wish has always being to get a Racing Beat Type II nose for cheap! I totally agree with the OP's statement about the NA's nose.

the rx7 driving light conversion has already been done:

brought to you by your favorite 175rwhp Fuji-Racing Time Attack Miata:

cardriverx 11-21-2007 08:02 PM

I acually like that alot!

Ben 11-21-2007 08:36 PM

Is that the "175" hp fuji miata? I actually like that.
I wonder how D2S (or whatever else the cool kids are running these days) HID projectors could be added to the picture.

Braineack 11-21-2007 10:19 PM

yeah it's the same iirc, they have a kit, I'm sure its expensive, but I like it as well.

jobambo 11-22-2007 12:24 AM

That looks better than ANY body kit i have seen. Add a NB Lip and your Set!

Trent 11-22-2007 12:26 AM

Also consider that it's all urethane that way, so no worrying about destroying a fiberglass front nose on parking-blocks and road cones (in the case of autox)

cjernigan 11-22-2007 12:27 AM

Both those look great. If I had an NA, i would... not waste the money doing that. But it would be nice because it does look great.

m2cupcar 11-22-2007 08:16 AM

nice air source for the NA too - cool the brakes or the fender well oil cooler

Braineack 11-22-2007 11:59 AM

That would be the only reason I'd do it, I wouldn't want to invest the time and effort. I think it looks good and I'd love to use those fog light holes to cool my brakes.

Ben 11-22-2007 12:03 PM

I have a spare NA front bumper. Ya'll let me know if you see a cheap 01+ bumper FS somewhere.

Braineack 11-22-2007 12:04 PM

you can probably pick up a black unprimered one for under $150.

sup gurl 11-22-2007 07:03 PM

Can't believe this never crossed my mind...

Oh well. NA > NB

01TurboMiata 11-23-2007 07:49 PM

nice, i really like that pic of the rx7 lights in the miata

Al Hounos 11-23-2007 09:06 PM

fugly

Mimime 11-24-2007 12:10 PM

Talking of front ends, I have gone back in time. Crash myself into an old mini.

I like the NB lower conversion simply for the practicality of the fog areas for brake ducting.

Agreed 100%. The pitcrew conversion doesn't fit the lines of the car AT ALL.

How would one mold the two together?

firedog25 11-24-2007 08:44 PM

Resins, rivets, spit, and jizm.

Fireindc 11-24-2007 11:03 PM

Damn, that first car would look pretty nice if it was a little lower.

neogenesis2004 11-24-2007 11:12 PM

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

^ Moar like braces, amirite?

Zabac 11-26-2007 10:32 AM

the NB's have a much bigger opening...something to consider for sure...look for damaged bumpers for sale to score for pretty cheap...great success
