What do you guys think of these wheels? I found a set for $200 with less than 1000 miles.

SamS 03-13-2008 03:31 PM

I like mine, light and strong for the price.

Braineack 03-13-2008 03:36 PM

should have mine bolted up this weekend ;)

That's a classic wheel, and they look great on Miata's. I hate them in white, but that's just me. $200 is crack whore pricing. What's size and offset are they?

C

wes65 03-13-2008 03:49 PM

They are 15x7. Bearing in mind that i know nothing about wheels/tires, i dont know the offset.

Rishi 03-13-2008 03:52 PM

200 would be a steal for those wheels. Even though they are considered inexpensive, most places have the wheel for 100-125 dollars. I seriously am considering these as I want to save a little dough in the future replacing tires on a 15 inch wheel insead of my stock 17s.

wes65 03-13-2008 03:58 PM

i just hope that i can get a decent amount out of my current 14" tires so that i can get some decent tires to go on these bad boys. Begi s1 has left me broke as hell.

Braineack 03-13-2008 03:59 PM

IIRC they come with a 36 or 40 offset.

In 15x7 4x100 they came/come in +38 (what you want) and +45.

The super rare 15x8 4x100 came in +32 which is what you want. There is also a +22 which is what you do not want unless you have flares.

I'll give you $300 for them. :naughty:

Seriously.

Rishi 03-13-2008 04:27 PM

If you seriously decide on passing these up, I will drive down to Indiana and pick em up.....

$300 for my Falken's?

JDMAflac 03-13-2008 04:33 PM

One of my favorite wheels, I wouldn't pass on the deal.

wes65 03-13-2008 04:35 PM

i sent him an email saying that i would buy them. Now i just need to sell the wheels i have. Anybody want some of these?
http://www.performanceplustire.com/p.../77#prodAnchor
$250

Zabac 03-13-2008 04:38 PM

if you pass on those wheels and don't hook someone from this forum up with the seller, you will get banned for life, not from this forum, life in general

$200 is a steal, i would delay my mortgage to get these at this kinda price...
good luck, i hope you get your $$ in place

wes65 03-13-2008 04:42 PM

oh,yeah i have the money in place, dont worry about that.

Bryce 03-13-2008 04:44 PM

I would definitely get those if I wasn't already getting Heliums.

reddroptop 03-13-2008 06:05 PM

They are cheap for what you get @ the Tirerack @ 105$ each + shipping.

Pretty much the best wheel around the 100$/wheel price point.

hell if you want to pay $300 for 14s and tires...i got a nice set of daises with a nice set of all seasons :)

Savington 03-13-2008 06:28 PM

If the 6UL had never been produced, I'd probably be on 15x8 K1s.

Newbsauce 03-13-2008 06:33 PM

The K1s are certainly a good value for what they weigh.

BUY THEM.!

wes65 03-13-2008 10:10 PM

Im meeting the guy next week to get them!

sxevegan 03-13-2008 11:55 PM

I really like the way the K1s look too. I really wanted a set for my M3. People would always try and talk me out of putting such a "cheap" wheel on a bmw but they were light weight, low cost, good looking wheels.

If my neighbor already didn't have them on his miata I'd consider getting a set. Two sets of K1s on one block is too much :)

Bryce 03-14-2008 12:04 AM

You can never have too many K1s. ;)

Heck, I'd have eleventybillion on my Miata if I enough powercards to control them.

wes65 03-14-2008 12:23 AM

how is the weight of these compared to stock wheels on my 95?

Great wheels and that's a terrific price. I've had a pair of 15X7's for six years now and haven't had a problem. Real easy to clean and damn near bulletproof. I tagged a curb pretty hard once and thought I destroyed one. It ended up being a minor scratch.

I think you can get center caps still at Tire rack for about $6 a piece if this particular set doesn't come with them.

MX5-4me 03-14-2008 09:26 AM

Hey Wes65 did you get those wheels from a guy named Nick?

TurboTim 03-14-2008 09:58 AM

I love mine, I've had them since 2001-ish. I've hit some serious pot holes and never damaged them. Surprisingly strong for the weight. Mine are 16x7.5, +38mm offset. A tick more dish (0.25") than the 15x7 +38.

For the price those are great. If you are buying them new i'd try to find those 15x8 +32's. "Danscreations" has them i believe.

EDIT: I just looked at the sticker (all 4 still good after 7 years) and I have 16x7.5, +32 offset, not +38. Not that this matters much to this thread but I figured I'd post anyway.

Fixed ;)

I spent 500$ for mine with R's on them. Got some 15x9 6UL's coming for 225/45 R1R's.

Didn't really go all out on any part of the car, so I decided to get really nice wheels/tires.

hustler 03-14-2008 06:43 PM

I'd love to get a set of those. Those white-lettered toyos look dirty.

speedf50 03-14-2008 06:49 PM

I love mine. I shattered one when I hit a telephone pole, but I still have the other 3 from my old car(all of which traveled with the car off of a cliff) on my current one, they are strong and look great.

Pitlab77 03-15-2008 10:29 AM

I love those wheels. i would get some if i didnt already have 3 sets of wheels

Braineack 03-15-2008 06:11 PM

yay for me....got mine put on today.

I decided it's going to stay above freezing for a while, so I put away the winter wheels/tires and put the kosei's on. Ignore the finger at the top, I had to borrow my mom's camera and wasn't used to it.

Looks really good Brain, familiar looking too! ;) I'm guessing those aren't 15x7 +38, they sit a bit more flush than mine.

SamS - looks good too, man I don't miss WI winters at all..

Braineack 03-15-2008 07:06 PM

16 x 7.5 +38
