Braineack 12-24-2006 02:36 PM

Looking forward to seeing them with a nice low stance.

Right now I am trying to decide what some nice rims would be in the 15x8 range. I was looking at those ones from 949 racing, the 6UL or whatever it is. What do you guys think about those rims.

Who'd you buy through... Goodwin?
I'm a Toyo fan myself, but my 15' Heliums have everything I need.. very light, very cheap, and very stealth.

Remember, when you have it aligned, make sure to take along the equivalent of your bodyweight in something to place in the drivers seat.

You cant go wrong with the rpf1s from goodwin they are only 7 inches but they weigh 9 lbs, at 176$ apeice they are a steal other places sell them for 250+

zoom2zoom 12-25-2006 02:50 AM

nothing is sweeter than 15x8 Panasports on the rear, but the Heliums are cheap and pretty decent I guess.

magnamx-5 12-25-2006 03:12 AM

panosports are way heavy man no way i would rockem besides who likes daisy nock off's :gay:

Actually, the ultra-lightweight 15x8's are not that heavy, but they no longer make them. I am lucky to be one of the few with them.

magnamx-5 12-25-2006 04:08 AM

the last time i checked the lighest of them wieghed 13 lbs. considering how hard it is to find a light grippy wide tire this all adds up. my bfg gf sports and 15*7's weigh 30lbs apeice damn heavy tires. with the panos it woulda been 33-35lbs. Wieght is our enemy man fight it.

ya i bought from good-win-racing.com. I will do my best to ballast that side of the car with some weights, but the alignment shop will need to get in and out of the car to do the job. Besides i get my alignment from an old-school mechanic and it costs me $60 out the door, no complaints so far.

tylerdurden 12-25-2006 05:56 PM

You can get the Helium in 16" fitments now, I probably woulda gone with that when I got my Grids if they'd been available.

akaryrye 12-25-2006 11:34 PM

15" FTW ... 16" has no use on a miata in my opinion unless you need extra brake clearance.

Al Hounos 12-25-2006 11:46 PM

yeah 15 looks the best on miatas, IMO. I'd love to have some 15x7or8 panasports or watanabes. i have 14x6 panasports right now.

helium and azenis sound like a great track setup though.

Yup, and you'd pay more and be slower. 15's is where it's at!

Booooo, it's the 15" fo lyfe crew reppin'. I respect your decision for 15" wheels, but 16" looks waaaaaaay better, IMO.

PS- Yes, the hot rod stance has been rectified.

magnamx-5 12-26-2006 09:41 PM

Doing 120+ who can see the wheels? Nothing wrong with the stance though cept the 16's

Lookin good. What brakes are in there? My 1.6 brakes look sooo tiny inside my 16s.

jayc72 12-26-2006 11:45 PM

The grids look better in a 16 than a 15. It all depends on the style of the wheel.
