We have tested it and run it on a 1.6L with AFM. We also have it set up for a MAP system, but no power tuning has been done yet.

Xede's are different for EVO's and Miatas. Of coarse, I am biased, but Shiv should think highly of his work. He is a master at what he does, and there are very few people who could do it better. :)

i had honestly never even heard of this ECU until a few days back..so how old is it and if it's new is the price possibly coming down any time in the near future?

That's cool, last I heard this was still unsupported. That should make the XEDE a little more attractive to people now.

AFM removal, electronic boost control, and autotune (they call it smart tune or something), won't affect obd, and not just actual support, but miata specific support.

Looks bad ass

kinda what i was thinking whil ereading through the stuff on BEGi's site, even if it is $1400 it's still a nice ecu from what i can tell......and like everyone here always says: corky knows what he's doing and he obviously reccommends it.

Remember for that price you get a set of RC injectors. I think with out injectors the XEDE runs about $1000. By getting RX-7 injectors you could save yourself about $200-300.

Corky has one on his '97. And I have one on my '02. :) Works Great.
