make sure your fan is working, you have no pinhole leaks, the cap is holding pressure


yes, but not as good as some good shrouding...reinstall your undertray. In the least get grab some sheet metal or aluminum and run it under the front of the mouth to the rear of the rad.

I saw the same issue on the track without an undertray, as soon as i hit +100mph the temps would peg, slow down and they'd go back to normal instantly. Went back a few months later with more top speed and an undertray and had zero issues.

Maybe his temp curves on the PNP are wrong.

they're where they should be until it starts getting cold. All this happened after the shrouding. I'm pretty sure it's not the PNP.

definently would change thermostat if it hasn't been replaced for awhile

I would change the thermostat and cap just as maintaince first even though neither are issue. Easiest thing to try is the belly pan; buddy of mine had the same issue with his turboed miata here in florida. He ran 70/30 and on the highway it would want to overheat. He never tried the belly pan but put a koyo in it and it's been fixed since.

I went to replace the thermostat and I noticed there's this maybe inch long metal spacer between the thermostat housing and the bottom. Anyone want to chime in about this? Doesn't look stock. I'm contemplating tapping it and putting a real water temp sensor there.

My temps sometimes drop below operating in cold weather. I have the stock radiator with no shrouding/belly pan. I do have the begi reroute.
