Painted my Altezza tailights. Clubroadster here I come. Maybe.
I know this thread belongs on roadsterchat but I like you all so much I wanted to share this with you. Instead of tinting my chrome altezza ricies, I painted portions black. I left the reflector areas chrome, so it is not as completely black as the black altezza's most run. I think it looks much better than chrome and infinitely better than the bla OEM tails on my bla white car. And with the reflector areas reflecting it will be safer than the black style altezza's.
Again thanks to Paul for hosting my pics. All pics here: http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/taillights/ http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/...aillights4.JPG http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/...aillights6.JPG http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/...aillights9.JPG http://www.inoneear.com/outtheother/...illights12.JPG The standard versions. I started with the top style. http://www.miatamania.com/Graphics/P.../902-991_1.jpg I'm going to go with the fancy 3watt LED bulbs next. |
I like it. They look much better painted.
|
they certainly look better. better than i thought they would after you were trying to describe what you did earlier today.
Is this the reason my turbo didn't get finished? :vash: |
agreed, they def look better
|
I think they look better than what they were. Still not a huge fan of aftermarket taillights for Miatas.
|
They look better but I still prefer stock.
I was staring at the stock altessas on a Honda Pilot today and it really really annoyed me. |
painted taillights are the win....
http://www.boostedmiata.com/new_miata/taillights.jpg granted these are stock...and painted on the outside.... |
Those look too much like black blobs to me Scott.

Damn it! I really like it....
Perhaps I should do the same to mine (they where in the car when I bought it). |
A lot more subtle than normal Altezza lights, that's for sure. Most aftermarket lights need a good deblinging.
|
Ah you ricers!!!! If Paul's car wasn't so enjoyable to take a ride in... I'd make more fun of him for leading this pride parade!!!!

Never been a big fan of the chrome.....I like the black much better.
I just need to finish mocking up some '67 Vette lights that I am stealing from the '61 Truck project. ;) |
