are people really paying $3500 for a 1990, 120k mile, auto miata?
|
not me.
|
See it going like that all day long. Heck people still spend upwards of $4k for a '91 manual.
|
People are silly.
$1500 ... 93 with 90k and hardtop. Body through hell and back... |
back in 03 4500$ for a 92 silverstone excelent condition with HT 1 owner 75000 miles. FTW

I'm about to start buying up every miata I can find, and throwing it on ebay..."flip this miata."
|
yeah, the prices seem to be going up...
|
Everyone thinks the 'deal' they scored is the pricing rule for the world. I am here to tell you it is not.
$3500 120k Miatas are an easy sell if theyre clean...regardless of tranny. There is an entire world of consumers out there, some of whom even drive automatics. ;) |

You see prices all over the board. I have seen a couple low mileage 92 for 5k, just seems unreal.

When it comes to older Miatas the 'book' dont mean a thing. ;)
|
yeah, the market is pretty saturated here in the phoenix area with older miatas.. and they still go for 3500-5000 for 90-93's you have to get lucky to find the ones that are cheaper, i looked for a good 6 months to get the 90 140k needing a new top and clutch for 2200
|
yea,i paid 700 for mine, but the body was from hell, the motor was done, and the top was shot.the radio was mia.but i wanted to put in a newer lower mile jdm motor in my car.plus they where all going for 4k.when i picked it up i tried talking the guy down.but he had a list of like 25 people who wanted the car.
but after i did the body work, swapped and boosted it and put the new top.there was a blue 92 miata for 600.with 60k on it, hardtop and the interior was mint.only needed a clutch.that car went in 4 hours. |
Back in October, I checked around to see if what I was paying was fair. Couldn't find a clean NA in western CT/Eastern NY for less than 4500 unless it was well over 100K miles.
Seemed like a lot to me. |

love how that ebay ad says that it has rear bucket seats....an auto tranny and a 5-spd tranny.
|
You should see what the price of a NA Miata will fetch in Canada. Even then the price varies with region and time of year.
