magnamx-5 02-19-2007 11:09 AM

not me.

cjernigan 02-19-2007 11:25 AM

See it going like that all day long. Heck people still spend upwards of $4k for a '91 manual.

Splitime 02-19-2007 11:26 AM

People are silly.

$1500 ... 93 with 90k and hardtop. Body through hell and back...

magnamx-5 02-19-2007 11:32 AM

back in 03 4500$ for a 92 silverstone excelent condition with HT 1 owner 75000 miles. FTW

And God bless em. IIRC I paid $3800 for my 91 w 50k miles on it. Plus another $1k for the hardtop. Plus whatever tremendous amount on FI stuff.

The condition of the body is what makes or breaks the value of an NA, especially an early NA. But still a $600 miata is always a good deal.

hustler 02-19-2007 11:49 AM

I'm about to start buying up every miata I can find, and throwing it on ebay..."flip this miata."

adbradley 02-19-2007 12:04 PM

yeah, the prices seem to be going up...

miatanutz 02-19-2007 12:09 PM

Everyone thinks the 'deal' they scored is the pricing rule for the world. I am here to tell you it is not.
$3500 120k Miatas are an easy sell if theyre clean...regardless of tranny. There is an entire world of consumers out there, some of whom even drive automatics. ;)

That's fine, I'm still not going to pay that much over blue book.

FSTASNTZ 02-19-2007 01:05 PM

You see prices all over the board. I have seen a couple low mileage 92 for 5k, just seems unreal.

When it comes to older Miatas the 'book' dont mean a thing. ;)

adbradley 02-19-2007 01:26 PM

yeah, the market is pretty saturated here in the phoenix area with older miatas.. and they still go for 3500-5000 for 90-93's you have to get lucky to find the ones that are cheaper, i looked for a good 6 months to get the 90 140k needing a new top and clutch for 2200

turbopezz 02-19-2007 05:41 PM

yea,i paid 700 for mine, but the body was from hell, the motor was done, and the top was shot.the radio was mia.but i wanted to put in a newer lower mile jdm motor in my car.plus they where all going for 4k.when i picked it up i tried talking the guy down.but he had a list of like 25 people who wanted the car.

but after i did the body work, swapped and boosted it and put the new top.there was a blue 92 miata for 600.with 60k on it, hardtop and the interior was mint.only needed a clutch.that car went in 4 hours.

Back in October, I checked around to see if what I was paying was fair. Couldn't find a clean NA in western CT/Eastern NY for less than 4500 unless it was well over 100K miles.

Seemed like a lot to me.

ruger988 02-20-2007 11:44 AM

love how that ebay ad says that it has rear bucket seats....an auto tranny and a 5-spd tranny.

jayc72 02-20-2007 11:52 AM

You should see what the price of a NA Miata will fetch in Canada. Even then the price varies with region and time of year.
