Default Cheap Summit oil filter relocation and cooler?

I'm looking at doing a filter relocation and adding a cooler. What's wrong with using the generic $35 Summit relocation kit and an equally cheap tranny fluid cooler? Seems like $70 does about the same job as the Miata specific units for 1/3 the money.

Any opinions? Anyone else gone the cheap route and regretted it?

I'm not sure the flow through a tranny cooler will be high enough for an oil cooler. Restriction.

I was going to use the cheap ebay kits and a small cooler.

i believe the kit was $70 (used to include 3 lines ), cooler $30 , plus $5 for two -10an fittings.

Whatcha got Pschmidt? PM me!

Slo, that looks about right for the cooler portion.

Brain, that looks sexier than the summit, don't know if it works any differently. AN fittings instead of barbed/clamped hoses are nicer but it's also 3 times the money by the time you buy the hoses too.

you don't have to use stainless, that cooler could use (2) 1/2" slio-on fittings and presto!
