Piston Oddity?
4 Attachment(s)
At first I thought the piston on my bent rod had a piece missing out of it, but then I inspected the other ones. I've never seen this before, but since it's the same on all my pistons from my '95 and the same from the donor '96 pistons I now have, I'm hoping that it's normal and ok. But take a look at the piston skirts, it appears that they are all cracked/chipped.
(The pistons still on the rods are my '95s, the pistons alone are '96s. The last picture shows the other side of the piston with the normal looking/even skirts.) Attachment 211783 Attachment 211784 Attachment 211785 Attachment 211786 Anyone else seen this or know why it is that way? |

Oh, well shit. I feel dumb. Oh well, a continuing learning process this is...
In any case, I didn't look too hard when I took everything out. Was too busy putting parts in bags and marking them to make sure reassembly went well. :) |
