Possible coolant leak at WP casting & Hard line?
I just pulled my Exhaust manifold and as I was getting ready to install the header, I noticed drops of coolant seeping from where the hard line under the manifold connects to the water pump casting (I did have to move it a bit to get at the far nut nearest the firewall).
It was only a few drops and appears to have stopped, but I've never had the WP or casting off and am not sure how the hard line seals into the WP/casting. Do you guys think I might have fucked something up and need to pull the casting off? If I have to, I'd rather do it now than install the header and fnd a major leak when the radiator builds up pressure. |
Theres an o-ring in there where the two meet.

If not, it will still be easy to pull the casting now that the AC is out of the car. |
hard line press fits and seals with an o-ring.
be sure that the hard line is fixed to the engine with a bracket secured to one of the exh mani studs, otherwise it's likely to seperate while driving. (it's happened to me) |
