Ptuning Shops tune sucks... or just me?

I'm regarded as one of the more competent tuners in the miata scene in australia, and yet my personal car gets tweaks every week or more even a year after having 'tuned' it. (Disclaimer, I dont think im any good personally)
Thats because perfection in a day is impossible.
GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE CUSTOMER is possible in a day.
How the hell can your boy get cold start at all temps and conditions perfect in one day?
What a joke.

I'm on MS1 and my car runs perfectly under all conditions. I'm that good!
Seriously though, OP paid to swap in a 1.6? Then paid for turbo install and quickie power tune? Sounds like someone who should be buying a German car with a warranty. If you want to DD modded Miatas and enjoy the experience, DIY and learning is the way to go. It's the whole reason for this forum.

P-Tuning actually has one of the nicest dyno setups I have ever seen. Their tuners have been through several different EFI classes. I am betting they just tuned for power and did not touch other things. It will depend on what you ask them to do. I would take the car back and talk to them about what you want, what issues you are having, and datalogs showing what is going on.
They mostly do Subaru, Mitsubishi's, and Honda's when I last talked to them about tuning.
