Default Convertible top glue

1990 with factory original top. There is fabric that wraps a metal bar that goes across the top just over your head when sitting in the seat. That "wrapped fabric" is coming unglued from the top. When driving, the top will lift off that bar since it's not attached properly.

Does anyone know of a good glue to use? I'm going to just put some gorilla glue on it if nothing else.
TIA

Goop marine. Same happened to my original top circa 2001. Held until I replaced the top once the plastic window cracked. Fast forward a decade and the fabric surrounding the glass in my Robbins top tore so I used goop Marine again and it is still holding after 1.5 years.

Pain to work with because its so good. I think a hot glue gun may work well too.

I've actually got a hot glue gun. Might try that first. Thanks for the tip.

I dont see how hot glue is going to work. I dont think its possible to get full coverage with it and get the top on it before it cools too much. I forget what I used, some white stuff in a tube that was a bit thinner than goop brand because I forgot I needed glue until 11pm on saturday night when I was starting to put the top on, and only walmart was open. Its been fine for a year now.

After a little more research I found that 3M 08088 is supposed to be the chits for it. And it's fairly common and widely available.

One month and it's holding great. I've had the top up and windows down just to test it and it's fine so far. Only thing I should have done is be more careful of allowing the glue to run a little. It's made the fabric shiny where I didn't wipe it off.

I've used Goop on some cracks on the outside of the top.
