Ok, so I took a ride in this car and loved it! Had a 1.8L Audi TT, which had a turbo in it, but I like the 2.0L better. Now, is there a reason I can't seem to find alot of information on the 2.0L? I bought it because of the larger displacement, but still want to put a turbo on it. However my first step is to put an stand alone ECU on it. Isn't that the correct path? Also am looking at the Xceed product. Thoughts? That is expensive, but is it worth it?

Oh, great forum!

The reason there is not a lot of info is because they are still relatively new and only a few boosted ones are out there. I would give Bell Engineering a call and talk to Corky about a kit.

Thanks Shuiend. That is what I was hopping. The 2.0L is a great and very strong engine and all it needs is some kind of power mod. I mean, I can't just leave it alone. Where is the fun in that? Thanks!

Search for a member named "Mann" or "Man", he has an NC that is boosted and put down I think 270 at the wheels at the dyno day last fall.

You are not far from Atlanta where there is a fellow who on rare occasion comes on here named MXGeorge, I think. He's got a turbo NC with meth injection that runs quite well. He is probably more active on MX5Atlanta. Some of the Atlanta locals might be able to tell you where to find him. You wouldn't go wrong emulating his setup.

Correct, his screenname is MXGeorge. I was able to document and help him install the first production kit that BEGi made for the NC (using the Xede), there's a thread here (but it's not great since I let my pict.com account die, so sorry about that).

https://www.miataturbo.net/prefabbed-turbo-kits-3/installation-one-first-begi-nc-turbo-kits-35585/

It made 255rwhp/224rwtq at 10psi on a DynoDynamics dyno (operator said that's roughly equivalent to 305rwhp on a DynoJet) before the meth injection and some other changes.

Here are some current pictures:

And welcome!
