Default What do you guys think of satin paint? post em

I have been looking around on the web and have found some really sweet pictures of satin cars.

How do you think satin black. Or any satin color would look on a miata. ?

Or any cars. post if you have any satin cars you like.

i think it can look trashy and look decent.I know you cant touch it up. But i think it looks sweet

It looks good but it's pretty played. It's very "Sport Compact Car" cliche.

noooo idea what other satin colors would look like. oh except green.

This isn't a dig... but you should bring some hot rod muscle paint job game to the miata world. there's not enough ghost flames and **** like that around here.

that flat green is sick!

mine is satin black. i need to re-paint it, i got some de-greaser on the paint and it bleached it out in some places.

The two cars in the OP pull it off well, I'm not so sure a Miata could.

Doesnt work on every car. A rat rod maybe, a miata probably not.

Looks good on the Scion! My bodyshop next told me it can be a bitch to maintain flat paint. I almost did flat black....came very close.

Something else to think about, the average driver has a difficult enough time seeing brightly colored Miatas on the road, much less a flat black one.

Grays are the worst color to have - I had a GRAY RX7 for five years -
It got hit Three times - People could not distinguish it from the road when traveling. It blended in with the surroundings.
GRAY or FLAT BLACK is not a good color to have because of accidents.
Mind you, two of these happened while the car was just sitting there. People just don't see black and gray when they take a "quick glance" at their surroundings.

Hmm an interesting point and one I never considered. I want to paint my car after the swap and was really considering gray.
