Default Track Weekend- VIR

Here's a short video from a CircuitX on VIR's Patriot course. A circuit cross is basically an autocross on a road course.

I was only able to get two runs on this course with only one being timed, so I do understand that I am leaving a lot on the table. I spun the car at the top of the hill on the 1st run and unfortunately I didn't have the camera running. Even with the spin, I almost caught the car in front of me. After watching the video, I can see 2-3 seconds of improvement available. My car was going through growing pains this past weekend, so two runs was all that was possible.

I also have video from full course from Fri and Sat. I just haven't uploaded that video yet.

damn- only 2 runs in one day? Was this an event within a track day weekend or something unto itself?

Only 2 runs on Sunday. I spent about 2hrs on Full course Friday, and an hour and a half Saturday.

I got enough track time. 3 days at the track, albeit a blast, is a lot. I was dead come Monday morning.

I'd say 1 day is quite a lot

Oh- ok. My one and only SCCA Solo I equalled 5 laps total over the entire weekend with all the associated costs of a race weekend. That was the big suck.

Instructing and running the show definetely helps in the wallet department.

Instructing takes some nerves sometimes, but the free track time benefit is great.
