rpm and coolant needle going nuts
i searched and i found nothing, except for stuff i already tried.
before i boosted my car everything was fine. and now that i got my car up and running with the turbo installed, when i hit boost my rpm and coolant needles start going nuts for a second or two, and then they go back to where they should be. i checked the connections on the back of the gauge panel (they were tight), and i cleaned the ground beside the throttle body, but that didnt fix it. has anybody had this problem, and what did you do to fix it? |

Aside from checking all the grounds and cleaning them up. He's supposed to be doing that.
|
i forgot to say that! ill be checking all the grounds soon. im just trying to see if anybody has had this problem and it be something besides ground connections.

my rpm was freakin' out like that and it was the ground under the t-body. my coolant temp gauge was from the harness by the back of the head/firewall on the pass side. i zipped tied the wires together and tight against a bracket back there. stopped it. still does it a little every once in a while. i think i just need a new engine harness. it's old and brittle from all the heat of 100k+ turbo'd miles.

i already cleaned the one by the t-body, i haven't tried the one beside the fire wall yet. hopefully that one will take care of my problem.
