rx7 rear end conversion????
does any one here have any links to people who have put the rx7 rear end into a miata
or to a company that sell's the hard wear to install it thanks for your time and help seth |
Yes, it's been discussed many times. There's a handful of us on the board that've done the conversion and another couple handfuls of people on www.miata.net forum who've done the conversion.
The company that sells the hardware to install is...Mazda. |
thanks for your help
i was told that there is a company that sells the kit not mazda a aftermarket company it would be great if some one has that link i cant log onto miata.net for some odd reason thanks for your help |

which rear end? tII 8"? first gen? second gen? lsd? r&p?
All the info is available from searching google, mnet and mtnet. |
Racing Mazda has a kit for the 8" Turbo II rear-end, but I've never really heard of anyone who's bought/installed it: http://www.racingmazda.com/miata-clutchflywheel.htm
The downside to that kit is that it's intended to retain the PPF and, therefore, a stock Miata transmission AND the Turbo II diff is 4.10 final drive ratio. While the 6-speed Miata diff. is proving to be pretty strong, it would not be a well-geared car when paired with a 4.10 final drive. Racing Mazda had some serious business problems a year or two ago, so I'm not even sure in what state the company is at the moment. |
http://www.geocities.com/Crash41301/ try brians site doing a lsd swap would be better. it is alot of work
