Default LED interior bulbs

just wondering if anybody has used led replacements for bulbs in the interior? I dont even know if I care to change the color, but i at least wanna make the gauges something other than the pale green they are now. (i.e. a more striking green would be cool, red would be cool too but ive heard the buttons in the center can be a pain to change over)

anyway i was looking at www.superbrightleds.com and was thinking either the 1led wide angle bulbs, but concerned about the overall light output, or the multi-led ones, but im a bit concerned they will have hot spots.

Yes, I have.

I replaced the light bulb above the rear view mirror with a "Festoon" LED bulb from superbrightLEDs.

I also have a Moss interior light kit which I am using the festoon bulbs. I just got the plain white bulbs. They are bright and yet won't get hot enough to burn anything.

These are what I used. Just measure the length of the bulbs you have.

One of the lads in the club here in Ireland fitted LEDS.

i could never drive around with those blue LEDs on my dash, would give me a friggin headache. Anyone know if its better to have a more directed light or one that is more omnidirectional? I took out my gauge cluster today and it looks like theres some clear plastic (or something) rings that extend out to the top of the bulb to apparantly transmit light around the gauges, so im thinking it might work better with a direct light.

As for the lights on either side of the center console, i bent the leads and used a one size over standard light. Lights up nicely, but gets pretty hot at times, but i dont make a habit of leaving em on too much.
