200 grid just on the letters then 400 on the entire light, then 600 then 1200 and after that 2000. All wet sanding. After that i used head light polishing compound from 3M. Light on the right was hand polished and on the left i used a small orbital polisher. Took 20 min on both lights

Now whats the paint to tint them called?.....
dont want to tint them actually.
looks good. now do your cyclops light and all your marker lights. :p
Will you need to repolish these lights repeatedly and indefinitely to keep the shine?
I will do the third break light. Not sure about the sidemarkers tho.
No you dont have to repolish them. |

I did that a year or so ago all around the car, fronts, rears, side markers, etc. Started with 400 wet and a block then worked finer. By being careful taking down the letters I skipped a couple of grades that Rushin used. Haven't had to refinish or re-polish in any way. It's a small thing but it sure looks cleaner without the lettering gathering crud all the time and it's just a couple hour project.
