Break out the sawzall and sledge hammer, resurface it yourself! What could possible go wrong? ;)
Let me ask you this, was it time consuming and a pain the ass to remove the clutch? If you enjoyed the experience don't resurface, as you'll likely be doing it again soon. If you didn't enjoy it, resurface. |

I was going to say something similar. Resurface IF you use a new disk. otherwise leave it as is. That's how it wore, that's how it wants to be with that surface to disc contact.
I bet everyone who had problems when the didn't resurface also put in a new disc. Frank BTW I found a promising machine shop right by BWI airport. Welcome to Jackson Auto Machine I'm going to take the pp and disc to them to see if they can do it. Will also have them resurface my exhaust manifold flanges and the turbo flange, see their prices for a non PVC catch can, and some miscellaneous lines. I checked out their shop last week and they seem pretty good. LS, small and big block, and import engines were all in their shop. They also have an engine dyno. Prices for what I asked about were very good for our expensive area. |
that's weird...you want to send me your old flywheel and clutch parts you aren't going to use?!
