Any basic T25 setup can achieve 200-225hp goal.
No need for all these baller parts.
Are you guys seriously recommending E85 for 200hp ???
If you just bought the 1.6 car and dont have a bunch of money in it, sell it for about the same as you bought it and get a 1.8. nice NA's can be had for around 3k all day long.
swapping motors is a pain in the *** for a newbie miata owner.
if you want to do this on the cheap:
MKTurbo
or
1.8 Ebay tacotaco cast manifold (should not crack, not the best flow, but plenty ok for 200-225hp) $120
New or Used begi/FM downpipe (will work with the above manifold) $200
Used SR20 turbo s13 or s14 $250-400
MS3 $1100
Flow Force injectors $300
FM stange 1 clutch $400
Ebay Intercooler/piping $250
ebay bov $30
OIL lines $100
Total: $2750. so figure 3k.
Should be able to hit 200hp with stock exhaust, but i recommend to have a shop custom weld a 2.5" - 3" exhaust for you with the big *** magnaflow muffler that comes with the MkTurbo.
No way to do it cheaper with decent parts.
The above setup will be plenty strong for the street, occasional track day, and autox.
consider improving the cooling. stock radiator will handle 200-225HP just fine on the street, if you keep the plastic undertray, but not so much on the track.
No need for all these baller parts.

The only real silver lining for the 1.6 is that people, literally, throw away baller turbo parts and built engines for dirt cheap because of the stigma created by this board that the 1.6 is almost unusable as an engine. The absurd deals I've gotten on parts is almost unfair.
