Bitch of it was I had just basically sold that set of tires/wheels after buying some Panasports and ordering new Falkens and having them mounted by a local Miata buddy. I was waiting to pick them up, and drop of these OEM 16"s.

Instead I had to buy a new tire (different make and size...fuck Discount) since I was stuck 75miles from home, which put me out $61, and dropped the price on the setup $80 for the buyer since he'd have to order a new Kumho SPT.

FML

EDIT: Every time I buy one of those tire repair kits it *magically* disappears, and I have to buy another one when I pick up a nail. This flat wasn't a nail though. Don't know what got into the sidewall, but it had cut all the way around within a mile from the gas station I had just stopped at to fill with gas, add oil (burning), add super blue to the WI tank, and check tire pressures. Pissed me off.

It's distilled water with a couple drops of blue food coloring added so I can easily read the level. And actually, I've even stopped putting in the food coloring of late, since I realized it's pretty easy to see even without it.

Ok, I get the joke, but on a more serious note, there are plenty of 'em in the Miata community. We even have a forum for 'em: Methanol/Water Injection - Miata Turbo Forum - Home of the turbo Mazda Miata.

For the first couple of years, I experimented with various ratios of water and methanol, mixing VP brand M1 into dilution in an external container to concentrations as great as 50% by volume.

On the upside, it was interesting to see people's reactions when they asked "what's in the tank" and were told "methanol." On the downside, it was inconvenient to mix and caused corrosion even of parts that weren't supposed to corrode.

Of late, I've done a fair amount of research on the subject and concluded that plain ole' distilled water is a perfectly effective anti-detonant (and one which doesn't affect your AFRs) so I've been running that instead.

Ok fine. The truth is I don't even plan to make near enough power to need meth/water, so I have not read any threads related to the matter.
