Start cheap & simple: replace O2 sensor. A failing O2 sensor won't necessarily give you a CEL light.

A new sensor without connector will cost you about $15. You will need a 7/8" open end wrench, and some wire cutters/crimpers. You'll need one barrel style wire crimp connector, and you're gonna want to soak the old sensor in PB blast overnight.

Well I got a donor oxygen sensor 3 months ago from a buddy of mine , only reason I got it was because he cel was throwing a code and it seemed to have fixed it.

Gap your plugs correctly. The tool is a dollar.
swap in a known good AFM & cat. They're both bolt on & readily available used.

Oh yeah, timing too. Factory is 10* advanced. Jam a paperclip between 10 and gnd in the little diagnostic box over on the driver's side of the engine bay while setting timing. Adjust the cas on the back of the passengers side of the head. It's one 12mm bolt, and you only need to loosen it. A little adjustment goes a long way, but you can adjust it while the engine is running. There is a blue connector that doesn't go to anything on the driver's side kind of by the headlight. That is the easiest way to get +12v for your tester light.

grainy grayish is from slight oil burning i'd replace them to be safe. get your car nice and hot on the freeway before taking it in for smog your numbers are close enough if its ripping hot it'll pass.
