Man torsens are f'n expensive. I almost don't want to install mine just because of what they sell for. Almost better off keeping the open and taking my time picking up a clutch type later on with a 3.9 R&P.
|
I couldn't pass it up for having all the goodies.
Also, this guy sells that exact set up all the time at that price if anyone is interested. |

Junk because 1) the 90 to 93 diffs are small and weak and 2) the vicious diffs act just like open ones after 50k miles or so.. I have 80K miles on mine and its just like a friggen open diff. |
aha k so i should prob just buy a 1.8L diff and change everything up?

And for a few hundred dollars you could get a 94+ open diff setup which would be much stronger than the 90 to 93, abit still open. |

I just picked up a 4.10 early torsen. I now have an open 4.30 for sale that may have an rx7lsd in it, with early axles.

But this clutch lsd seems to have a tremendous amount of lock up in comparison. I get a huge amount of under/over steer with throttle application/lift that wasn't so prevelant in the M or with the viscous. I guess that's for better, for worse though, as oversteer on lift is not forgiving if you're a dumbass.
http://www.trackdogracing.com/website/spin.mov I trade a tenth for never putting it in the wall. I'll always tune out as much lift-off oversteer as I can. |

That is what I am replacing with my Torsen set up. If you're heart set on a viscous I'll sell you my entire 91 drivetrain with a functioning viscous diff for $200 plus shipping. lol |
