So I made a miata turbo wiki page.....

jsisco is credited with the idea... and I was bored lol.

Miata Turbo WIKI!

Feel free to add to it guys!

I used Brain's FAQ as a base... and I made sure to credit you Braineack!

So lets try to get this site looking nice, I made it public so anyone should beable to edit it!

UrbanSoot 12-08-2008 09:31 PM

sweet!

paul 12-08-2008 09:37 PM

Ha, we(me, artieparty, disturbedfan) were just discussing this idea over dinner tonight.

cardriverx 12-08-2008 09:54 PM

Well I did up to water injection (which needs a lot more content) so far, if anyone wants to do more copying from the DIY FAQ here, feel free too, or add your own stuff!

The megasquirt section needs to be made up too, maybe make a main page and go from there? Or we dont need a main megasquirt page... whatever!

UrbanSoot 12-08-2008 10:01 PM

i have an idea... why dont we put it all on www.miatawiki.com?

cardriverx 12-08-2008 10:07 PM

someone else owns it.. and .net. themiatawiki.com is open?

Then again, whats the difference?

miatamania 12-08-2008 10:10 PM

badass.

Guys should add whatever is useful, this could be a good resource for information for all miata owners.

cardriverx 12-08-2008 10:12 PM

word.

Oh I guess well need a couple admins plus me... so if any well standing members would like to volunteer thated be cool!

UrbanSoot 12-08-2008 10:24 PM

i own it ;)

UrbanSoot 12-08-2008 10:25 PM

wiki is setup. feature requests go to my pm.

UrbanSoot 12-09-2008 01:27 AM

http://miatawiki.com/wiki/doku.php/fuel_injectors

first page is in... cmon, populate it!

jobambo 12-09-2008 05:46 AM

wow cardriverx, you just got thread/idea jacked.

jsisco 12-09-2008 07:59 AM

It is good to see this actually happening. I wanted to do it for a long time, and even had a wiki setup on my web server with no information. But with the bulk of the info being Braineack's work, I didn't really feel comfortable stealing it. Seeing as he hasn't banned you guys yet I guess all is well.

I think this will be an awesome resource as long as there are regular contributors.

Braineack 12-09-2008 09:54 AM

Urban...yours isn't as pretty or friendly.

I know right!

y8s 12-09-2008 12:31 PM

like your subwoofer page? i like that, fool!

cardriverx 12-09-2008 01:09 PM

OK so I edited mine to get the main sections filled in

I also made the megasquirt logo clickable, goes to a main megasquirt page

Why? because I like doing it

Maybe mine and urbans can co exist =)

spruced up the side bar too

cardriverx 12-09-2008 01:23 PM

added a supercharger section by request from miata.net

wayne_curr 12-09-2008 01:53 PM

Damn, great idea. Wikis are so useful. I put one together for a company I contracted with once and the end users loved it.

I'll contribute what I can :)

y8s 12-09-2008 02:30 PM

wikis are just a formal way to publicize incomplete or unfinished documentation. I love it.

cardriverx 12-09-2008 05:35 PM

Thanks to Brain we have even more stuff on the site.. imma start teh megasquirt stuff now. woo

patsmx5 12-09-2008 05:40 PM

:bowrofl:

While I agree, I still think they're useful.

I think what we have so far beats the hell out of searching the forum.

UrbanSoot 12-09-2008 09:32 PM

eh... i still think we should move it to its own domain like www.miatawiki.com :)

UrbanSoot 12-09-2008 09:32 PM

i can make it look and function anything that you guys think is useful.

you take everything but forced induction (power related stuff) and megasquirt. That cool?

UrbanSoot 12-09-2008 10:25 PM

hahaha... im not going to negotiate what information goes up on that site... thats just silly!

cardriverx 12-09-2008 10:27 PM

well that way we would co exist fine.

patsmx5 12-09-2008 10:53 PM

The heat shielding info is hilarious. Who says a mild steel downpipe only last 2K miles if wrapped? WTF? That's... very wrong. And holy-poor-grammar-and-wordiness batman.

Miatamaniac92 12-10-2008 12:21 AM

First it was M.net v MT.net.

yeah really haha

UrbanSoot 12-10-2008 01:23 AM

clean and useful vs amateur

ZX-Tex 12-10-2008 10:46 AM

The format on miatawiki.com, and the content to date, sucks.
Comparatively speaking miataturbo.wikidot.com is much better.

gospeed81 12-10-2008 10:50 AM

dude, you so totally rock

I love the wiki.

If I ever get to the point I can contribute, I'll help fill it out.

TrackTestedMiata 12-10-2008 02:10 PM

handy!
