So, what would you get for $150?

My parents are giving me $150 to spend for Christmas, so I think I'm going to spend it on the Miata. What would you get with $150? I can't really think of anything. I wanted a lip, but I can't really find the GV lip I want, and it looks to be over $150 anyways. And don't say save up for a turbo, because I've already got that ;)

Part of a bigger turbo, Better Engine Management, DIY Coolant Re-Route could be in your budget.

I was gonna suggest the same thing. Looks good, is very durable, and easy to install.

gospeed81 12-10-2010 01:12 PM

SS brake lines

Reverant 12-10-2010 01:17 PM

I hear Braineack is broke these days, you can donate to him or get banned.

turotufas 12-10-2010 01:23 PM

Lifetime alignment somewhere. Or Gas/food money for a mini road trip.

maybe a one-legged hooker and a baggie of baking soda for $150.

scottyd 12-10-2010 01:37 PM

A knife. Then you can make your blow lines and cut up your hookers.

I'd love to get a MegaSquirt with some new injectors and then dyno tune it and turn up the boost, but I think that's a little out of my price range right now

I would like to do the coolant re-route though. Any links to where I can check that out?

Again, I'd like to look into this. I've heard good things about it. Got any links to point me in the right direction?

I need to recirculate my current BOV, what makes you think that I should get a new one?

Thanks for the link, that is a big possibility right now ;) looks like the group buy isn't going to fill up though.

I've already got them. What's the real advantage though?

The hooker and blow comments are pretty comical. I laughed

Also, I'll probably use some of this money to get a oil change and check out other things that might need maintenance. I know I need a new battery and I've also heard that I should replace the radiator. I'd like to get a MegaSquirt and turn up the boost, but that's out of my price range now. There is a group buy on FlyinMiata right now for a Touge Run lip, I might look into that because I need to get a lip on this car. Keep the suggestions coming, you guys have given some great ideas so far.

What kind of STS would you recommend? And what's a 2jz? Lol.

18psi 12-11-2010 08:19 PM

Are you serious? You don't know what a 2jz is?

And short throw shifters suck ass on our cars. Seriously

Yup, I'm serious. Just got into Miata's. Totally new to these kinda cars, I come from Ford's lol.

And I figured, the stock one seems to be good as long as the parts aren't too worn.

Someone's been watching too many auto insurance commercials.

Wait, you don't even know what a 2JZ is?.....wtf? not even miata related

_spyder 12-11-2010 09:03 PM

I should say anything import related. Not too sure.

gospeed81 12-11-2010 09:33 PM

Get a nice steering wheel, or a shift knob and the FM pedals.

The controls you touch in the car are always there, and make a big difference on your perception and enjoyment of the ride.
