Default Brakes went out

Luckily that building caught me.

http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/car-...tl-564714.html

A driver on Monday afternoon plowed her car into the front of Green's Package Store on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown Atlanta.

Around 3:15 p.m., the driver crashed her car into the front window of Green's Package Store at 737 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta Police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

According to WSB TV, the driver of the white Mazda Miata said her brakes went out. This is the second time the same woman has crashed into the store.

Brakes "went out" on a less than 4 year old car? I doubt it.

Usually these kind of people have their accidents on the way home from the "package" store.

I guess she thought it was a drive-thru package store?

Sounds like a cheesy name for a medical marijuana store.

When will GM fine Mazda for this brake problem which they knowingly perpetuated?

On a lighter note, my throttle stuck in 1st gear and after some tire smoke and noise, I turned the car off. The police were not happy with me and made sure to watch me push the car off the road before they got out, questioned me, and threatened me with a citation.

That happened to me when I propped open the throttle body to do a leakdown test. I took the prop out but didn't see that the throttle was somehow stuck in the open position locked. My neighbors looked at me funny when I started up the car and it shot to redline.

For some reason the actual throttle assembly was stuck open and after whacking it its decided to function normally. I lubed it up and hopefully that fixes it. It also made my tach not work and the needle was pointing down...so I had to open it up and twist it back around.

That really woke me up. The cop threatened to write an exhibition of acceleration citation, then another cop showed up. Finally they decided to let me out of the 20-questions game and go back to pushing my car while they ran radar because that is what the police are for, not serving or protecting.

It's a common term for liquor store in some places.

Similar thing happened to me. When I first built my sideways intake mani the progressive linkage on the TB hit something and got jammed wide open. shutting the car off while it's bouncing off the rev limiter made the tach go the wrong way and zero out pointing down. Like you I had to take the cluster apart adn spin the needle around.

No cops though.
