Default Question about wastegagte

If a turbo says it has a 7psi internal wastegate, does that mean 7psi is the minimum boost that can be run?

Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: you can swap out the wastegate actuator for one with a higer or lower setpoint if you wish, though I can't imaine wanting to run less than 7 PSI, and for higher pressures, use a MBC.
