Sounds like a damn weedwhacker and in response to his comment, I still think that his 1.6 all motor sucks. That LOOKS like an HKS VPC but I don't think it is. HKS VPC has 4 dials "idle/throttle/gain/fcon" that one only has 3.

i dont understand why people spend so much on ITBs but nothing on adding any displacement so they could actually make more power.

he did say it was built and had cams... so he may have punched it out a bit. still would have been a better idea to build a high CR 2.0L stroker he obviously has cash.

you heard him....he proved why all-motor "doesn't suck"

oh, wait, he really didn't prove anything did he....and adding throttle bodies is nothing....if you're going to suck all-motors *****, and at least humor him with some overbore, higher compression, etc.

I'd rock an IRTB setup ....

That was fed by a turbo!

The simple answer is no. Lots of people can use the VPC, but very few people are able to tune them properly (ex. me).

Yup, you hit the nail on the head there. I am a recovering IRTB fanboi.

I had the same kit on my Miata for about a 2 months. Ran fine with my Megasquirt. For some reason it just didn't live up to the hype for me (except for the sound, that was intoxicating). I wasn't expecting MASSIVE gains but it really didn't feel much different than my car does now with the stock manifold and no AFM.

I gained 4 hp peak and ~10hp from 6.5k to 7.5k over my RX-7 AFM setup, 111 hp on a Dynojet. Needless to say I was pretty dissapointed after I had spent $1,500. I still need to re-dyno my car with the Megasquirt and no AFM. If its more than 2hp less than when it had the IRTB's, I'll kiss your ***.

Then I need to get the sand out of my vagina and turbo my Miata but that's another thread, for another time

I like the comment "all motor all the way." I'm not exactly sure what that means though. Does that mean being slower is acceptable?

Miata + ecu plus no maf = instant response.

I think the IRTB are more for "looks in a sense" Unless you have a built enclosure to help feed them, along with a turbo shoving air into them. But even still all that work for?

My 92 was so eager to respond after I deturboed it and just ran it with the link. The removed restriction plus the increase in timing for a cost of less than this kit.
