Default Good Cheap Tires

So my 99 Miata is gonna need tires soon. I figure I'd ask some opinions. Right now I have Toyo Proxes 4's on there, 205/45/ZR16 is the size. What do you guys recommend that are better tires, and less expensive? I bought my car with these tires on it in March of last year and I'm not sure what my opinion is of these tires. What do you guys use that you like? What should I put on there?

I use it's little brother the 535SS in the < $50 street tire challenge on track. They are suprising for what they are and the price.

Federal 595 looks like a great buy! My last set was Kumho SPT's and liked them a lot. It looks like prices have shot up on them though. Used to be affordable.

Don't know where you are located? Do you need all season tires that can take freezing temps?

pirelli p-zero nero. My favorite street tire of all time. Lots of grip, and very long life. I've had a few sets.
