I searched the garage on M.net but I didn't find a setup how I want. I DO NOT want to change the way the blinkers or anything work now. I simply want to add the bulbs to the corner of the blinkers and have them run whenever the car is on without having to flick a switch.

My thought was to tap into that blue connector on the drivers fender. Will that connector be able to handle the bulbs? Is this the best way to wire it? I can't just wire them parrallel with the blinkers because like I said I want these on independant of the blinkers. Sorry if this is confusing, I'm trying to explain the best I can. Thanks for the help.

I've had 55w fog lights run off the blue connector without a problem, so some little sidemarkers should be fine.

I have my day time running lights wired through a relay that is activated when the ignition is on. I ran a fused power wire off one of the blank prongs in the relay box in the engine bay (where the abs fuse would go, I think)

Here's what I would do.... GTS basically has the right idea....

Blue wire to relay switch on, that way the lights will be on with the ignition.
12v hot from the main fuse block. You can open the side door, and put a ring on the bolt there. It's 12v hot all the time. Fuse that lead of course. I'm using this for my fogs.

You'll need to add a ground for the relay, and possible ground for the lights themselves somewhere to keep it simple.

A standard relay should be able to work for this. The switch on lead of course is the one from the blue wire. 12v hot comes in, ground.... And then the "output" for the relay will turn the lights on. Have one wire go to both lights, or you can split the wire if you want.

Get some LED lights though. They are less likely to get the lenses too hot.... I'm currently using some normal 916's out there, and they are bright enough, and don't seem to melt the lenses too much. But my next change will be to LEDs anyway to keep things "safer".

That confuses me lol. Why do I need a relay? My car is a 93, is the ABS wiring there? Here is how I understand it...

12v hot from fuse block. Both grounds to fender and then output wire to both corner lights.

I already drilled and installed the socket for Ford/GM (#85814) Will LED lights fit that or is there a similiar size socket I should use?

The reason you want the relay is because the 12v hot from the blue wire is fused in with the HVAC controls. It's a bitch to get one of the square fuses if it blows. Trust me. I arc'd mine trying to check the timing.

So.... you put a relay so... you have 12v from the fuse panel, but the "turn on" is the blue connector wire.

Hope that makes a little more sense..... If you take it from the fuse panel, the lights will be on 24x7, IIRC.

I just follwoed the direction in the Garage @ M.Net. But I liked the fact that mine blink along with the turn signals. IIRC, there are direction that just light up WITHOUT blinking as well.

Ditto on the LEDs. I've going crazy replacing regular bulbs with LEDs from superbrightLEDS.com.

Well I have them hooked up without a relay for now. I will go buy one tommorow. As far as I could find m.net didn't have instructions for running them how I wanted, I looked pretty hard but I may have missed it.

While I was in there I made both my front and rear side lights blink as well. It was really easy and I think it makes the car alot safer. Not to mention it looks nicer. I highly recommend doing it. Should I get pictures?

I thought you wanted the side markers to independent of the blinkers? The Garage section has a way to do both. But, I agree with you that having the side markers blink along with the turn signals are safer in that it makes us a little bit more visible.

As for a replay, why do you need a relay? I just tapped into the wires is all.

The lights I wanted independant of the blinkers are actually the Canadian DRLs. They are in the very corner of the actual blinker lights. I had to drill out the housing as my USDM blinkers don't have the spot open.

The side markers (the yellow and red ones on the side of the car) I made blink just because I could.
