starting with a bell s2, then going up

I'm strongly considering the s2 kit from them, but I'd like to get some head room over the gt2554. I do not want to be forced to change any piping (the reason for going with the kit).

What about this? http://www.atpturbo.com/root/maps/im...0rcompress.gif

are those affordable, and or is there anything bigger that will fit on that flange, and dp? I also don't really know how to read a compressor or turbine map. I think a t3 s60 is what I really want, but don't want to have to deal with all the extra fab. I could also do the military kit, but don't want to spend that much...and I don't want to go over 250whp max.

I'm also thinking about throwing the whole deal out, and getting a friend to build it from scratch for about the same price (mike brink).

I would make a kit. The 2554 is a small turbo and you will be craving more eventually. I would make a kit centered around a big 16g. That is what I would do, but it is ultimately up to you. Good luck.

If you want a bell kit but want to upgrade the turbo size, say to a T3 turbine. Corky will upgrade the kit for you, and you might be able to do it for about the same price or less since t3 turbos are much cheaper to find.

you can fit any size turbo you would want for a miata on a t2 flange. 2554,2560,2860,2871,3071.

why not just go with the 2560 from the start? they offer that option.

will the 2560 flow enough? I need to look at compressor maps.

this is a thought.

for 250? definitely. its the standard FMII turbo, you know.

Braineack 02-19-2007 10:34 AM

the 2560 will make your 250rwhp goals easy. It's the standard FM and BEGi turbo. I'm pretty you can aquire the SII with the 2560 inplace of the 2445R.

Yep. That is the S3. Only thing different from S2 is the turbo size.

If I need to talk about pricing, is it best for me to call? How long does it take you guys to put the kit together, before shipping?

Stephanie Turner 02-20-2007 12:30 PM

Calling is best. Time depends on parts and systems. Right now the S3-5 is running about 4 weeks. S1-2 is 2 weeks id we are shipping complete.
