actually, i never have any glare issues with it. it just came out like that in the pic for some reason

I know this will sound really redneck...but I took a piece of 2" PVC pipe and cut it about 3-4" long with one end cut at a 50 degree angle and will try and put them on each side of the dash beside the instrumen cluster surround. The 2" autometer gauges fit inside the pipe tight, I just gotta figure out how to mount them to the dash and paint them black.

Don't mind the tape, I'm just getting ideas for a place to mount them, but this is sorta what I had in mind...

Not half bad. If the gauges are too tight, you could use a boring bar to increase the inside bore a few thousandths...if you have any access to a milling machine.....as for attaching them, epoxy FTW, theres just no turning back tho.

I was thinking of epoxy for attaching a bracket to the bottom inside, so you could screw it down with a long screw driver.

I think my next step is gonna be to remove the instrument cluster hood/surround and see how much I can resess these pipes into the sides of the hood and possibly find a better attachment point instead of screwing into the dash pad.

you should be able to drill a hole in the PVC pipe and use a 1/4" or so allen screw. If the allen wrench doesn't fit, buy a cheapo set at the hardware store and cut some of the short side off.

Time to reawaken an old thread. I will be installing an ATI epod gauge with a dual monitor boost/wideband gauge soon and was wondering how hard it is going to be to wire the gauge through the steering column for a noob with no wiring experience doing his first gauge install.

Steering column should be pretty easy. It comes completely apart with three screws.

I want to know what ever happened with those PVC pipes!
