NA/NB Compatibility Guide

NA to NA! not NB

i just didnt know if there was a difference between 1.6 NA and 1.8 NA!

curly 10-23-2009 06:55 PM

well shoot, I'd have to search to find that out.

Unless I have missed something, the racks should be the same from 90-97. The cooler line stops at the end of 1995, but the rack remains the same.

Any reason why? You'd probably be happier with your depowered rack

no, i went to de powered! the other guy got my powered setup!

one more question, how much fluid do i keep in the rack? i know your supposed to keep some in there for lubrication, just how much.

No, what I'm saying is the depowered POWER rack has a quicker ratio, so most people prefer that as opposed to the slower manual rack.

So if you want a unpowered rack, it's usually better just to keep the powered one and modify it.

ha, will do as soon as i get my car back on the road! gotta replace my turbo! i should be back up and running within a month!

pretty much all i did to the rack was looped the line, is there anything else i need to do to it? i dont want to screw somthing up!

saedrin 10-25-2009 06:16 PM

Umm... Yeah, that's not real depowering. It's going to feel like ass compared to an actual depower.

Flyin' Miata : Tech: 1.8 conversion

Start here, and then you'll actually have an enjoyable steering system. :p

Properly depowered with grease feels AWESOME.

Good luck getting the car back on the road! What are you replacing your turbo with! That month is totally going to feel like a year! Follow the depower instructions! Much better than just looping lines! Indeed, don't screw anything up!
