Default Stolen Turbo Miata

Hello, I know most of you aren't from the PNW but if anyone sees or hears anything about a red 1992 turbo miata please contact me at 253-973-7166 it was stolen right from my driveway. I'm also in the bonney lake/seattle area. This is my most recent picture of it.

I am in Issaquah and will keep a look out! I'll let some locals that are not on this forum know as well.

This really sucks man, i hope you get it back soon and in one piece.

That's the Les Schwab parking lot in Bonney Lake - I've had an alignment done there. My in-laws live on Lake Tapps and I used to live right up the road. I'm sorry your car got stolen, man. That sucks. I'm in Spokane now, but I'll still keep an eye peeled, just in case. Best of luck.

Edit: I copied your photo to the PNW thread at M.net as well. Pretty good presence of local guys there. http://forum.miata.net/vb/showpost.p...postcount=7446

Yes it is! Little update, it was actually spotted in the parking lot of Albertsons in Auburn today. Somebody got a few photos but they got away by the time police showed up. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Putas don't even spray paint the car/rims? They just roll around in the car that looks the same?

Please put a bullet through their head.

I know right? Idk who took the pic, but he clearly doesn't know how to dial 911 or even just stall them.

Because general public is a bunch of pussies. With two guys, women get a pass.

Edit: After thinkingthinking a bit, it is a touchy situation. Don't doanything, and they get away. Getting run overy or shot might not be worth someone else's property.

This could also be more complicated. For all we know, those two dudes bought the miata off the original theif. Would explain the seemingly blatant display of DGAF.

Approaching them might be asking too much from your average plebe, but not to even call the cops is just not right.

They seem to get in the vehicle around the same time, you'd only need one well aligned bullet to kill both of them.

I would simply follow the car and update police on its whereabouts. It's not hard. I do it all the time with drivers who cause crashes.

Seriously, as soon as I got that pic I had to get out of work for a little bit and actually call the cops myself, and by the time they showed up they were long gone.

Call cops, put them on speaker phone, block with your car.

if the car is just sitting there - call cops, come up and puncture the tire so that they can't leave quickly,

F*** thieves.

That's true. Well whatever the case is there's evidence of these guys in possession of a stolen vehicle, so if we can catch them maybe we can catch the guys who stole it (if it wasn't them).

Idk if it was the same guys, but a pretty nice jeep Cherokee got stolen the same night a couple houses down in my neiborhood.

This has got me thinking, as many of us invested a bit on our cars...is it even worth it to get an alarm system installed? Seems like thieves will always get what they want. But there are GPS products out there which can be more discretely installed....

Probably not a bad idea. I also talked to Progessive about this sort of thing. They said if I paid to have the car inspected and evaluated by a professional appraisal service, that they would insure for theft, the amount I had spent. Less labor.

How high would premiums jump?

I'd be willing to do that, but would the appraisal service just mark the car's value plus some diminished value of the parts/receipts supplied or would they bench it off sales of other cars similarly modded? Not sure if they want to dig through a binder of parts receipts (Read: not sure if I want to find out how much I've spent)
