Default Barn door that just wont close

Initial problem:
https://www.miataturbo.net/meet-greet-40/hot-n-fresh-noob-sonora-ca-62037/

Sourced a new fender and got it installed fairly easily. The right side headlight wouldnt close all the way and was slightly rubbing the fender. So I picked up a new headlight assembly too.
I only swapped over the part encircled in red because I couldnt get one of the damn bolts blocked by the evap charcoal filter bullshit thingy. Not sure if that's the technical name for it.

Fitment is better than initial post-crash fitment, but still doesnt close all the way. I tried playing with the adjuster, but alas, no luck.

Should I swap over the rest of the headlight mount and motor that's not circled in the first picture, possibly something is bent?

They need to be adjusted, end of story. You will need to reposition the arm that connects directly onto the motor itself.

I was just gonna sand part of the bumper and the headlight cover and tack it closed. I'll just hit the tacks with a grinder whenever I want the headlight up.

Think if I bondo'd all the gaps between my fender/hood/headlight it would lower my drag coefficient and make my car more nimble?
