T-Clamps on radiator hoses?

I have an intermittent radiator leak (leaks in the morning, but not in the afternoon? OK...) coming from the lower radiator hose it looks like. I already have a replacement hose en route, but I want to make sure I don't damage the hose and make sure I have a good fastener on the hose as opposed to a 19 year old OEM tension clamp or a worm-gear clamp.

You guys think that putting T-bolt clamps for the cooling hoses is a good idea?

Yes. But worm drive is 100% reliable also.

Yeah, I guess I need to just get the non-crap ones and go to NAPA after work and pick up a handful of these: NAPA AUTO PARTS

I have yet to see an OEM clamp that has been worn out. In my opinion, they give the most consistent and appropriate clamping force.

I should have known better using low-end fasteners on my high-end radiator.

If you need a t-bolt clamp for your cooling system, there is something majorly wrong with your cooling system.

Wiggins clamps on your radiator or go home.

Or Gates Powergrips.

Stainless steel radiators because aluminum just won't hold the pressure.

Stretch is good, though. Gives you more volume when you really need it.

It's like a MKiv R32 Golf intake manifold under boost.

I use a t-bolt on the rear housing only because it was easier to orientate to make removal as smooth as possible. That's it. Still use OEM on the front.
