Unhappy Intermittent CEL . . .

Is there a way to read what it's throwing without taking it to a dealer? So far it's come on for a few seconds then gone away, but if it persists I need it read. I know on OBDI Hondas there's an LED that blinks. Anything like this for a 1995 Miata? Car runs fine and all fluids are fine. Hopefully something simple like a PCV valve.

When you jumper TEN and GND in the diagnostics connector, you can find out what the codes are. Turn the ignition on, but don't start it, and you can read the flashes....

Details for the codes are available here.... they are all the same for pretty much all of the pre-ODB-II cars.....

I just use a short piece of wire to short the two connectors......
