TII Transmission Adapter plate
Hey all, hopefully I don't get castrated for this but for my build I'm making a TII adapter plate/kit.
I'm gauging interest, like for real interest if ANYONE would use it type deal. This isn't getting manufactured yet or at all but I'm making one for my car regardless and will possibly have the plate scanned. I was wondering if anyone would ever want an adapter plate to use this transmission? They are good for about 500whp, and they have slightly taller gears (like a useful first gear).
I've already got the clutch figured out and its an off the shelf Part # as well as the slave/starter compatibility. Outside of that you would need to create a trans mount and diff mount (for the miata) and have a driveshaft made.
These transmissions can be found pretty inexpensively (~200) and they are very durable.
Kit would be high quality made in the USA much like this one...

It would be made by the same guys and of the same quality work, and around the same price, if this were to happen/be interest.
Again, this isn't a FS thread or a group buy interest but just me trying to bring a new option to the development of higher powered/higher developed cars.
If there is interest I have no doubt they will pay to be a sponsor here to sell those plates I'm just seeing if this is even worth it or if any one desires this swap.
Just chime in to let me know what your thoughts are or if you would be interested, this will help decide if we have any made

I will buy one today too. How long would it take for you to do a run? If you can do one quickly, I won't put this six speed in my car... to replace my broken six speed.

Awesome guys thanks for the fast responses. We're going to start it this week and in a couple weeks we could easily have it done.
Bell housing won't have to be machined but you have to modify the throw out bearing just a little bit to make up for the extra space but it is a simple solution.

spacing it out because obviously the plate takes up some room so you need to add material to the bearing/fork to move the fork closer to the pressure plate in order to engage/disengage clutch. This is a fairly easy process and once I do it I will post up pictures of what is necessary
also machining the bellhousing will probably be unneccesary and instead the throwout bearing modification will be what is needed.

Hey guys, just want to DROP MAD UPDAYYYYYYETS.
first plate is at the machine shop getting cut/drilled/tapers for bolting to the block, should be here this week.
We will then cut the shape of the bellhousing and drill/tap holes to mount trans to the plate.
Then it is off to the scanner once more to get copied and we will machine the first 5 after that. Usually a 2-3 week turnaround from that point.
The input shaft reaches in the motor, it is the same size, throwout bearing and pilot bearing both fit the input shaft.
Things left to do: mount starter (should be straight forward) and check throw out bearing clearance/throw.
You will probably have to trim the shifter hole back a little bit to accommodate for the longer trans, but it won't be terribly far back. You will need a driveshaft and a transmission mount or mount to PPF.
